About the Author
Tansy Hollow is the setting for the Tansy Hollow series of gay romance novels and short stories. Please explore our community by checking out the City website!

Established in 1846 by a small group of settlers who desired to escape societal persecution at the hands of the dominant culture of the time, Tansy Hollow has been an oasis of diversity for nearly two centuries.
The town got its name because of the wide variety and unusual concentration of wildflowers and medicinal herbs which grow in the vicinity. This unique feature of the area is honored through our street names--all of our streets are named after plants. Incidentally, Tansy Hollow was one of the first towns in the region to assign names to all of its streets, making home delivery of mail through our iconic local service (Tansy Hollow Local Bike post) much easier for the post riders.
Tansy Hollow achieved the status of city in 1948, but it never lost its hometown feel despite the fact that new residents migrate here steadily, swelling our population and bringing new ideas to our community.
The Historic District has 334 structures which were built within the first twenty years of the town's founding. Altogether there are well over a thousand homes and business buildings around town which are over 100 years old.
Come and explore Tansy Hollow. There's so much to see and do here. Perhaps you'll come for a visit and decide to stay--we'd love to call you neighbor!
